Pose at Protest

According to a parliamentary report issued last year, one in three women have reported being “forced to some form of physical or sexual abuse.” Marches were scheduled for Sunday in cities such as Sydney, Australia, Taipei, Buenos Aires and later in the year elsewhere. Now if you take a look around, this abuse happens in all countries both in and out of the workforce, someplace worse than others.

“one in three women have reported being “forced to some form of physical or sexual abuse...”

In effect of this Saturday, women of all ages, and a few men stirred up trouble in many dozen cities around the world, according to the New York Times. Saturday was the anniversary of the 2017 Women’s March that served as a strong rebuke of President Trump’s policies. Yet, there are no real solutions on how to fix women abuse other than petitioning their right to fight for a cause. But how well has protesting which involved about 45 women’s associations and took place in 50 cities worked out so far?

As a woman myself, I am also afraid that abuse in some form will happen to me one day. Even though I am just here as a working class citizen trying to pay rent, the number one in three is such mind-blowing statistic. Every year, the abuse has become worse and worse. Are there any other clear solutions to get rid of the abuse or will this “Women’s Wave”, who has been fighting for decades/centuries for gender equality, never stop?
